“Wow, what an amazing day!! Our day with Lyn & John on ‘Nera’ was beyond perfect, they were fantastic hosts and it certainly was the highlight of our holiday in Croatia. After setting sail from Split we sailed across to Brac and explored the beautiful coves, dropping anchor at several bays during the day and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. A hot shower and fluffy towels were really appreciated following our swims.
Lyn served us amazing canapes and ice-cold Prosecco, followed by a superb Risotto with Dalmatian ham accompanied by delightful local wines. This was all topped off by a beautiful desert. Beverages of all descriptions were offered and flowing all day. We really cannot say thank you enough for a fantastic day. If you are thinking about doing this, don’t think, just book!!

“Our group (6 adults; family and friends) spent a day with John and Lyn at Sunburst sailing that we described later to each other as the “best day ever”. We chartered the boat for the day as a group, which we would recommend if at all possible. It was incredible. Yes, the boat was lovely and the weather wonderful, but the real kicker is the hosts who pay tremendous attention to detail. They are kind, attentive, engaging people who take time to get to know you and your needs, and they will share their love of Croatia, its’ history, trivia, and beauty with you in a way that suits every person onboard.
It wasn’t lost on us that within 20 minutes both of them knew each of our names and we felt like this was a family sailing adventure.
The food and spirits were beyond excellent and the stops for swimming, sunning, or watching the sights were perfectly planned. We would give this excursion a 10 out of 10 and unreservedly recommend them to anyone looking to enjoy a ‘day on the water’ while staying in the Split area for a holiday in the summer.”

“We had the most memorable day with John and Lyn on Nera. The view in the morning of Split receding as we left the dock was a wonderful sight. Nera continued on across to the island of Brac and along it’s beautiful coastline. Nera is very comfortable whether we were seeking shade under the canopy in the cockpit or relaxing in the sunshine on the upper deck. We felt very spoiled with delicious snacks and were introduced to some exquisite local wines. We dropped anchor in a picturesque bay and while enjoying a swim the aromas coming from the galley made our mouths water for lunch. Everything was fresh, delicious and full of flavour. There was nothing we wanted for. John and Lyn were wonderful hosts and had thought of everything. Many thanks from us all.”

“We were fortunate to have two superb trips on the beautiful yacht Nera with our wonderful hosts, John and Lyn.
“Following a big welcome aboard we set sail for a beautiful bay opposite Hvar, which we had all to ourselves. An evening swim gave us all a hearty appetite for the wonderful meal to follow. Our dishes were freshly prepared, cooked aboard using local ingredients, and beautifully presented to us on deck to enjoy. Delicious blinis were followed by a wonderful Thai curry, finished off with an amazing dessert of panacotta. All of this was washed down with superb local wines, chilled beers and plentiful soft drinks. If there was room for any more, an exotic Sunburst Sailing cocktail was offered to complete the whole experience.

“Last year we decided to celebrate my husband Matthew’s birthday by taking a boat trip with Sunburst Sailing. This turned out to be the highlight of our Croatian trip.
“John and Lyn could not have been more welcoming on the quayside, greeting us with a glass of wine and a smile.
“As a complete novice sailor, my husband was understandably nervous about his prowess as a crew member. But he needn’t have worried. It became clear that John and Lyn were completely relaxed with as little or as much help as we were willing (and able!) to provide.
